Buy a Bracelet; Do Some Yoga
Amy Tung’s I Am Love Project helps you spread some joy
Amy Tung is an entrepreneur, yoga teacher and community advocate who decided she needed to do something that would fulfill her passion for helping people. The idea for the I Am Love Project came to her while volunteering for other charities.
“Raising funds is the biggest challenge for any organization,” she says. She knew she could make a difference using her energy, passion and the power of love.
She says, “I truly believe that love can move mountains.”
Tung launched the I Am Love Project in 2018 to be a self-sustaining business and support charities that needed that extra set of helping hands. Each month, a new crystal intention bracelet, sold online and at participating retailers, and an accessible pop-up yoga event are created locally with the goal of raising a minimum $1,000 for the selected charity.

In the past five months, the project has raised over $10,000 in support of women’s, mental and child health, HIV/AIDS, violence prevention and human trafficking prevention. February’s campaign supports the Never Alone Foundation and its efforts to improve the lives of people affected by cancer. It will include a bracelet (available after February 1) featuring rose quartz, which is the stone of unconditional love, as well as a pop-up on February 24 led by Brooke Van Ryssel, My Body Fitness + Nutrition. Radiance Gifts, Cranked Energy and Green Carrot Juice Company are among a long list of supporters that are key to the project’s sustainability. Radiance owner Lisa Tjaden, who doesn’t keep any portion of the bracelet’s sales, says, “When we can support that kind of local effort, we absolutely do.” Another supporter, Dr. Steven Gall, Linden Ridge Family Chiropractic, adds, “Amy walks the walk. This is very close to her heart.”
Tung is also a finalist for CBC Manitoba’s Future 40, which recognizes Manitobans under 40 who are making the province better for future generations. She urges Winnipeggers to help her continue to do more by buying the bracelets, getting tickets for a pop-up, and using I Am Love as a platform for even more fundraising.
“You benefit and the community benefits and that’s why the chain of love is continuous,” she says.
