When the facade of the Scott Block, a century-old office building at 272 Main Street, was uncovered a few years ago, Bryan Goertz envisioned something spectacular in that space.

In its third year, the Forthwith Festival celebrates creativity and improvisation through visual installations, music, performance and food.

There is one on the counter at the Acorn Café. His name is Nutz, he’s stuffed, and as the unofficial mascot of the café in Generation Green he’s a reminder of the coffee and lunch spot’s origins.

Adham Tayfour wants to provide the same opportunity to others that he found in Canada. He also wants to share a taste of what he left behind.
